Hydrocarbon / Oil Analysers
Hydrocarbon and oil analysers are instruments used to detect and measure the presence of hydrocarbons in oil and other fluids. These analysers use various techniques such as gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and infrared spectroscopy to identify and quantify the hydrocarbons present.
4000 Series
4020 Total Hydrocarbon Analyser
Uses FID to measure total hydrocarbons in ppm in a sample gas stream
4030 Total Hydrocarbon Analyser
Basic 4020 with sample system at a higher temperature for heated applications
Avoids condensation of the sample
4040 Methane / Non-Methane
Basic 4020, plus temperature-controlled sampling system with GC column to give accurate readings of both methane and non-methane hydrocarbons in a gas stream
4060 Benzene Analyser
Same as 4040, but used to measure ppb levels of benzene instead of methane/non-methane
4080 Total Hydrocarbon Analyser
Basic 4020 with sample system including stripper to measure total hydrocarbons in an aqueous sample
The Model 4080 is designed to detect hydrocarbons (C1-C9+) which may not absorb in the UV region)
Other Models in This Range
Model 6650P
Oil-In-Water Analyser
Model 6700E
Total Organic Carbon Analyser
Online monitoring of total organic carbon is essential for regulatory and process control purposes among water treatment, wastewater and industrial users. Teledyne’s 6700E Series employs proven UV-Persulphate methodology to isolate only organic carbons, oxidise them into carbon dioxide and measure TOC in the gas phase using infrared absorption technology.
Model 6700U
Organics Analyser
Teledyne’s 6700U leverages ultraviolet absorption (UVA) detection to measure for certain dissolved organic substances in water treatment and wastewater applications. Absorption of UV light at the 254 nm band is an indication of the presence of disinfection byproducts (DBPs), tri-halo methanes (TTHM) and halo-acetic acids (HAA). The 6700U provides an on-line measurement without reagents and utility gases required.
