Colrimeters
The CA600 is an online sequential sampling analyser, using colorimetric methods. The analyser can be configured to most laboratory colorimetric tests in individual processes.
Model CA-600
Easy installation
User friendly menu structure touchscreen interface
Easy process configuration
Epoxy powder coated, rugged cold rolled steel cabinet
Two separate compartments (Electronics & Liquids)
Loss of sample & low reagents alarms
Low maintenance
Adjustable cycle time to minimise reagent usage
These analysers are easy to start up and use, simply connect the sample, waste and reagent lines and then power up the factory calibrated analyser. Wall mount hardware is standard but an optional bench-top stand with reagent holder is also available. Accessing information for customising an analysis routine is easily accomplished with the simple, user friendly menu structure and touch screen interface.
Other Models in This Range
The analyser has two enclosures with two lockable doors apiece. The upper enclosure, known as the electrical enclosure, houses the main power supply, controller PCB assembly, and touchscreen interface. Meanwhile, the lower enclosure, referred to as the liquids enclosure, contains all the components involved in sample and reagent flow, mixing, and reaction stages (such as sampling pumps, reagent micro-pumps, and colorimetric reaction cells). The analyser can perform numerous analysis configurations based on attachments and the number of micro-pumps in the liquids enclosure. Typically, it makes a single measurement per analysis cycle, but a user-defined calibration or cleaning sequence can be added to follow the measurement every "X" number of cycles. A standard sequence would entail draining and rinsing the sample, followed by addition of reagents, mixing time, waiting period, and measurement. Higher range samples can be accommodated using the optional dilution module.
The colorimetric analysis is based on measuring the formation of color in the sample after adding reagents. The absorbance of the solution is measured through a quartz reaction cell at a specific wavelength using a long-life LED light source and a photometer. The absorbance is related to the sample concentration according to the Beer-Lambert Law. During an analysis cycle, the CA600 makes two measurements: one of the raw sample to establish a baseline for compensating color, turbidity, and optical characteristics of the cell, and a second measurement after adding reagents, mixing, and allowing sufficient time for colour formation. The concentration is calculated by deducting the difference between the two absorbance readings from stored calibration data in the analyser. Some measurements can be performed with less sample processing using Ion Selective Electrodes (ISE). The CA600 offers the same measurement with reduced process alteration and fewer reagents consumed.
The home screen of the CA600 displays the measured parameter, status, reagent volume percentages, time, and menu options. An on-screen HELP menu includes information on starting up, shutting down, start/stop commands, calibration, function list, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Outputs include two alarm relays and a 4-20 mA channel.
