Sulphur Analysers

Sulphur gas and liquid analysers are used to measure the concentration of sulphur compounds in gaseous and liquid samples, respectively. These analysers use various techniques such as gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and titration to determine the amount of sulphur present. They are commonly used in industries such as petroleum refining, natural gas processing, and wastewater treatment to monitor emissions and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

6200T-sulphur-analysis

The Model 6200T Total Sulphur Analyser utilises proven UV fluorescent technology to continuously detect sulphur found in inert gas streams. An internal, quartz catalytic converter is employed to convert the sulphur, when mixed with scrubbed ambient air, into SO2 via higher temperature oxidation. An internal vacuum pump is employed to draw both the sample and the ambient air into the converter. The converted sample gas is fed to the fluorescence chamber where it is then exposed to ultraviolet radiation.

6400T-sulphur-analysis

Model 6400T

The 6400T Series analysers uses a proven UV fluorescence principle coupled with state-of-the-art microprocessor technology to provide accurate and dependable measurements of low level SO2. The 6400T-H2S measures hydrogen sulphide (H2S) by incorporating a catalytic converter set at 600°F (315°C) to oxidise H2S into SO2 while leaving other more difficult to oxidise sulphurs unconverted. A switching mode allows analysis of both H2S and SO2 concurrently.

  • Ranges of 0-50 ppb to 0-20 ppm SO2

  • In-line particulate filter included

  • Large, luminescent touch-screen display with easy-to-view characters

  • Integral vacuum pump to draw sample

  • Up to 4 analog outputs, 4-20 mA (isolated)

  • 8 x opto-isolated digital outputs and 6 x opto-isolated digital inputs

6400TSG-sulphur-analysis

Model 6400TSG

The 6400TSG series utilises our field-proven ultraviolet (UV) fluorescence technology to continuously monitor the total sulphur content found in process gas and liquid feeds. UV-Fluorescence is a non-consuming method of detection, eliminating the hassles associated with replacing tape cartridges, and enables detection as low as 10 ppb, depending on application, with stable, reproducible results.

  • Continuous analysis of total sulphur content, under gas-phase conditions

  • Superior flow and temperature control of liquid-phase samples

  • Excellent linearity for both gas and liquid phase conditions

  • Wide dynamic detection capabilities from ppb up to % levels

  • Purged cabinet solutions for hazardous area installations with ambient temperature control devices

  • Front panel, weather-proof N4 control switches allowing for local control without having to defeat system purge
