Air Separation involves the liquefaction of air and several stages of separation in order to produce high purity gases; typically Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon and other rare, inert gases.
Due to the high level of purity expected from this process, gas analysers play a crucial role in quality control and assurance; measuring both purity of the target gas, and specific impurity levels within the gas.
Typical measurements included:
- Oxygen (O2): % Purity, Methane (CH4), Non Methane Hydrocarbons (NMHC), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Moisture (H2O) and Ozone (O3).
- Nitrogen (N2): % Purity, Total Hydrocarbons (THC), O2, and H2O.
- Argon (Ar): % Purity, THC, N2, H2O and Hydrogen (H2)
PAS have a strong history of supporting our numerous clients with analysis of these processes, working with customers such as:
- Air Products
- Air Liquide
- BOC / Linde / Praxair
- Buse
- Messer
- Nippon Gases
Our Analysers are critical in closely monitoring the various stages of production and also product purity for delivery to customer sites.
